About The Whole Groom

My name is Jane Barden, I have been a local resident of the Cumberworth area for most of my life, now living at Sycamore Barn with my 2 boys and beautiful springer spaniel. in the spring of 2013 I opened ‘The Whole Groom’ Salon at Sycamore Barn in Cumberworth, West Yorkshire. We have since moved home to Skelmanthorpe where I continue to indulge my passion and love for dogs.

Looking back many new wonderful friendships have been established and valuable experience has been gained - I am amazed at how far it has all come.

My regular clients include breeds such as Newfoundland, Lhasa and the Chinese crested, bringing a heap of varied requirements – it’s extremely exciting.

After gaining Level 3 ‘dog grooming professional’ my knowledge and skills are being put to the test.  The most interesting aspect is the fact that you never stop learning, and I’m keen to develop and improve.

‘The Whole Groom’ Salon is proving to be a wonderful environment for grooming.  It’s a bright, well ventilated, comfortable area where dogs can feel at home during their groom.  I believe that the dogs take pleasure in this relaxed home environment.  The Salon is not without up to date equipment and includes a stainless steal hydraulic bath to accommodate the small and largest breeds.

My ethos is to follow ‘the stone guide to dog grooming’ precepts of professionalism

-    Guarantee that the care and safety of pets is the greatest priority

-    Strive for the highest standards in the quality of grooming.

-    Attain the ultimate in cleanliness, sanitation and hygiene
